More specifically, HK's digital amps. Can anyone give me a side by side comparison as to how they sound(DPR vs AVR). I've heard the 1001, and it sounded great, but I haven't heard any of the AVR.

Secondly, how well do the DPR's handle low resistance, low sensitivity sats? I'm going to hook up CV's 5.1 system to it, which has a 90dB center, but 87dB sats. All are 4 ohm. The 1001 I had for a short amount of time, so I wasn't able to test it's abilities to the fullest.

I notice their DPR series has a .15% THD, which is more than 2x of the AVR series. Should I be concerned?

I guess I don't care about video upconversion anymore, especially since I won't be connecting more than one thing to the TV, and it doesn't improve video quality(I really don't play consoles). If I ever get that serious, I will buy a dedicated receiver for the TV system.

So, my last quam is the EzSet feature. Is it that big of a deal, or easily fixed with an SPL meter?

I was going to wait for the newer AVR models, but the guy I am in contact with at HarmanAudio said not until January...not even in production until november. Don't want to wait that long. I'm considering the DPR 1005 because the I can get a discount on it and it's the only higher end model they have in stock. The next step down in stock is the AVR 230(and not replenishing until mid November). So I will either get this or the Pioneer 1014TX. My gut says to go with the HK.
