Hello all,
I have read a good amount of info here and am overwelmed. I need a progressive scan player to go along with my new Sony LCD 60" Projection GWIII. I have a Bose 321 system and my bud brought over his Dennon 1600 and I could tell the difference immediately. The Bose 321 does not do p-scan.
Here is the deal, the 321 was a temporary bandaid to satisfy my lack of sound in our new family room. Got this a year ago and I kind of like it, however I miss real surround sound. I also have a 10 year old pro logic 4:1 set up in the playroom. Tweeter will give me $1000 for the 321 if I spend $2000. I have not decided yet. I am tempted because I picked up the 321 for $500, BUT I am not really up for getting immersed in a new reciever and mounting speakers. As you know, this is a disease and I kind of just want to sit back and enjoy the TV for a while. Not sre what I'll do about the Tweeter offer.
One thing I do know is that I want a progessive scan player now. The details:
Under $250
5 Disc capacity
As many supported formats as possible (I have a dual format burner)
But most of all, noticable video quality upgrade over the Bose 321
Not trying to be lazy, but can you folks give me a few suggestions?
Thanks,
Joe
