Will a manual 2-in and 1-out switch also work as a 1-in and 2-out switch? I know it works with an analog switch (RCA's etc), but not sure about this fancy HDMI stuff. It seems like it should, as you're just making connections one way or the other. Thanks.

No, the switches are not "reversible". More than one output requires a splitter.
