Quick one here. Can I use a Direct Tv HDTV receiver with a non HD TV?

I am planning on getting the HDTV Direct tv or dish receiver but I still dont have my projector here. Besides I will only use my projector for actual HD stuff so for the regular programming I will use my 27" TV. Can I use the HD receiver for a regular TV?

Yes. The DirecTV receivers also have composite and S-Video connectors (at least the 1st & 2nd generation ones did).
And the new LG boxes (inc. Sony) have simultaneously active outputs for DVI and NTSC
.... or component and NTSC (Composite and S-video). I use it with DVI to to the DLP and S-video to the Replay simultaneously. Works great.
Thats great cause I can use component for my TV now and DVI for my projector (when I buy it the PANA 500) but for now I can use S-video for my TV and Component for my W400Q or better yet just use component for both! :)
