Some threads/reviews say that it DOESN'T accept banana plugs while others say they do. So which is it?

On the back of the E300 it looks similar to my 3313ci, where you just had to remove the ends of the speaker plug but before I order it I'd like to make sure that they will accept banana plugs.

Thanks in advance.

I have the Sewell Deadbolt and Maestro plugs. I was hoping to use them in my game room. Guess I'll have to look for another receiver

The e300 is very entry level compared to your 3313. You don't want a higher end Denon?

Nope, I'm looking for a basic receiver. It's going in my game room, so it'll get very minimal use. I'll only have a 2.1 setup in there.

My other thought was to buy a brand new receiver and replace my 3313ci BUT I really don't want to spend $1,000+ right now

Indeed. I would head on down to your local Best Buy and check it out.

Only problem the closest Best Buy is a little over an hour away

if you're only using this for a 2.1 setup, why not just use bare wire?

Those plugs aren't the same as the Sewell Deadbolts which I use. No teeth on the Rocketfish plugs.

Was just going to do it for easy changing of the speakers. Have some cheaper quality speakers that I'll use when we have parties but I can always use banana plugs just on the speaker end.

And your point is? That was my daily commute to work for years.

Dang, mine is about 5-15 mins. Sometimes living in a small town has its benefits.

You weren't kidding about a entry level. The power seems ok but the options available are lacking (putting it nicely) compared to my older 3313. Once I get a Ethernet cable over to it, I may like it more.
