If you had only a $1000 for a tv budget, what would you buy? LCD or plasma?
Which brands? Which to avoid? Why?
If someone has a great argument around waiting, I'd love to hear that too.
I'm looking preferably at a size range of 46" to 52".
And I'm always looking for open box deals, too.
My personal thinking is this:
Avoid Samsung LCDs with Motion Flow (or whatever that dreadful smoothing feature that makes everything look like a video game is).
Pioneer is THE standard, from which all others will be gauged. It is so, and shall always be so
Panasonic is a great alternative, however, they seem to be near a product refresh, from the buzz I read. Whenever their new ones come out, it might suddenly make even a 50" 850U an attractive deal in my budget.
I really miss the 800U. Why oh why did they discontinue it!?
