Yes. The receiver's internal amp can still be used to power center/rear speakers while the front preouts feed a separate power amplifier. Just connect the other speakers to their appropriate channels.

quick question regarding htr-6060.
im planning on getting the yamaha htr-6060 and want to connect its preout front l/r to my kenwood KM991 AMP that also connect to kenwood JL-1001av Loudspeakers, while using the receivers internal amp to drive center and kenwood lsk-01s.
So the question is whether i can use both preamp output and receiver outputs at the same time and still be able to use 5.1/6.1 and or 7.1?
any help would be appeciated, thanks.
