Quick XBR1 Question - Widescreen Normal Mode Unselectable

The TV in question is an Sony SXRD XBR1 series and I'm facing a problem I've been unable to find a solution to. So, simply put, is there a reason why the 'normal' mode would be un-selectable and forces me to select from the remaining choices. The ultimate result of this is that when I am watching from a widescreen source is the cutting off of a few inches at the top and bottom of the screen since I am forced to use the 'full' setting as a compromise.


Can anyone point me to a fix for this or if there is a series-specific thread I should post this in tell me to do so.

Your source may be set to only output HD signals, which gives you more limited selections for the screen format on most sets.

Edit: Nevermind, it was a source problem it just happened to not be very clearly labeled.
