Would I be correct in assuming the projection calculator at pj central's measurements are taken from the front of the lens?


Assuming I end up purchasing a HitachiTX100 or Panasonic AE700, I would shelf mount it on the back wall, just below the ceiling. How much room should I leave behind and above the pj?


I'm still working on the room and can't help getting the tape measure out on every few days, it would be handy to have some idea where I should measure from...

I measured mine from the front of the unit, don't worry the throw distance is approx. you can make final adj. with the zoom.

Also if the air outlet is in the rear plan on leaving about 6" from the pj to the wall.
