I run auto setup on my denon 540bt it sets my sub at 24.4 ft away, when it probably 3.5 ft it sets right be hind my sofa. Should I just leave it, or set it manually to 3or 4ft. Thanks in advace.

Agree. Definitely leave it. Audyssey is usually accurate with distance settings. Distance to sub calculated by AVR is always longer than measured distance. If wired there is usually a several ms delay from the amp. Wireless adapters add variable delays but typically in the range of 15-25ms. 1ms translates to about 1ft.
