Zaccaria,

QXGA is JVC's highest resolution chip - with something

like 2048 X 1536 pixels, if memory serves.

You can see a picture of it at Tom Stites website:
http://www.large-screen.com/

It is 7000 lumens and as Robert has pointed out, will

sell for $225,000. This is a product that is targeted

at commercial theaters and not the home theater market

unless you have a lot of Microsoft in your stock portfolio.

Lasergraphics is old news and it is not actually a QXGA technology, despite what it says. There are threads on this elsewhere, it was beaten to death over a year ago on the forums. Would that it were really true ... but JVC has the real deal, or will have it when it ships in December 2001.

Cheers.

According to specs,

you can stack 3 JVC QXGA projectors.

This would be some picture (for a cool $675000)!

This will really put CRT to shame

(and probably 70mm road prints for that matter!)

Just imagine if they sold a 2000 lumen one of these for $15k and a $500 bulb. Bye Bye CRT forever.

BTW, whats the noise spec on this baby? $225k doesn't include price for a hushroom.
