This is wacked out. Over a year of owning this thing and I discover something new.

I got tired of the wavy lines so I shifted my HDTV to the VGA output and my work monitor to the DVI/VGA port. Ok, much better, work monitor quality now sucks, but at least I can watch a movie.

Now- I thought I could never adjust (screensize and sync, etc) my HDTV from ATI's drivers because it wasn't PnP- not true! It appears that the monitor adjustments only work on the non-DVI output. How lame is that? Even though the 8500 gets DCC info over the DVI/VGA adapter, it doesn't let you adjust the monitor. So now I can finally adjust the sync on my HDTV. But my work monitor is SOTL.

I can't wait to dump this card. Is this the situation on all ATI dual-head products? I don't recall this being the case with nVidia boards.
