I'm planning to upgrade my HTPC's display adapter and I was wondering that is there any difference in DVD quality between those Radeon models?


I don't need gaming speed, only PQ is essential.


Radeon 9000LE cards are very cheap nowdays but I don't know does 9000LE chip has all the same functions than 9000 and 9000PRO has.


How different is Radeon 9000 series DVD PQ compared to 9500/9700?

Radeon 9500/9700 also has Videoshader. Does anyone know how it works and how to take advantage of it?

Any advantage when using DVD player software with overlay?


Radeon 9000 series only has Fullstream but not Videoshader.

"The RADEON 9700's new VIDEOSHADER technology is the industry's first architecture to use programmable pixel shaders to accelerate video streaming. Programmable pixel shaders can also be used to enhance the quality and scalability of TV and DVD playback."



Is there any DVD player software available which takes advantage of Videoshader?
