Radeon AIW or GeForce+Hauppage WinTV-PVR-PCI???

I am a newbie building my 1st HTPC. I have read the faq's, and still am indecisive about what video card system to use. All I have purchased so far is a ECS K7S5A mobo with a 1ghz Duron cpu. I plan on also picking up a 80 or 120 gig HD, a pioneer dvd, and sb live 5.1 sound card. What video solution is better for me to do dvd playback onto my Toshiba HDTV, pvr recording, and very light gaming (mostly through my ps2). I plan on using powerstrip or Dscaler (which??) as well. I need a little more guidance on what to pick. Also, does WinTV-PVR also do all the things the regular WinTV does? Thanks in advance for all the help.

Yes, if initialized by proper drivers. Otherwise you get no sound. The pvr functionality in hauppauge's software isn't all that great though.

So instead of spending hte extra money for WinTV-PVR, I should just get the WinTV and a PVR software? If so, what does everyone recommend?

Well, you can probably not bet your moneyon it, but someone might implement open source drivers for the wintv-pvr, and then you might suddently find much better support for it. But don't hold your breath though, it might take a few months.

Myself I have like four different bt8x8 capture cards, sitting in different computers for different purposes.
