Radeon + ATI-player + ISCO + XGA/4:3 lcd projector

I'm sure this has been answered in the archives here, I'm just having a hell of a time finding it.

I want to use an ISCO anamorphic lens with my Radeon feeding the projector 1024x768 resolution. So I want anamorphic playback to appear "tall and skinny" on my 4:3 screen, using my full 1024x798 resolution, then optically corrected by the ISCO to give me the 16x9 image.

But the ATI player seems to pay no attention to "keep aspect ratio" and widescreen settings. No matter how I set it up, it is letterboxing the anamorphic image within the 4:3 resolution.

Are there registry hacks to truly disable "keep aspect ratio"? Or do I need to use "the new sheriff" :) TheaterTek player to get around this?

johann

Sorry Mcody, but I don't see a reply, just your quote... please try again?
Try using Zoomplayer as a front end and it'll use your ATI video and audio filters. It'll give you more options on aspect, zooming image size, same picture quality and sound quality, more stabilty, etc. If I check 4:3 anamorphic option in the Aspect Ratio category of Zoomplayer, all my 16:9 images come out tall and skinny filling entire 4:3 panel. Wish I had anamorphic lens to play with :(
