I'm about to buy a new video card to use with my Pioneer Pro530HD, which has 2 DVI inputs and the ability to display 1080i.

Should I expect that a Radeon (maybe a 9800 or 9600) will be able to display 1080i with this TV? WIll I need to use PowerStrip? I'd like to use this PRTV as my only monitor for this PC.

Hmm...

OK, well, although a simple answer to this question would have saved me hours of time, I did finally learn that it IS possible, and that it requires Powerstrip at 960x540p. I pasted in the suggested Powerstrip settings for this resolution from Digital Connection, but there's still overscan at the top and the image could be better with DVDs (I'm using the newest TheaterTek).

So one last try -- any tips for getting an even better picture? Would a higher-end card than the Radeon give me better results? I've only been at this for a week now so I'm still learning.
