Does anyone know where I can get information on rf remote control systems. I am interested in having my receiver (SAT-W60 with UltimateTV) in a closet (that's where the cables come in). Obviously I won't be able to connect wires directly from the tv (Sony Wega XBR) to the receiver so I need to figure out a solution. Anyone have any thoughts?

radio shack sells an rf based infrared setup. Pair of plastic

pyramids. About $60. Works great. If necessary you can have

multiple receivers and one transmitter.

I second the RS cones. Ive heard a lot of prasie from people who use them in conjunction with DBS.

The rat cones look just like some RCA cones I have and have used with RCA sat reciever--they worked great also and probably are the same cones, just labled for the rat.

I have several Recton IR-100 transmitters that I purchased ages ago. Now I need to get a replacement and I can't find this model because of how old they are. I really don't want to spend the money to replace all 4 of them with new ones so I was wondering if anybody has had any luck in using different brands of IR remote sender/recievers like the RS cones?

Do they operate on a different frequency?
