After going through seemingly endless threads, I can't find the answer for my freezing problems during playback of blu-ray files off of my hard drive. What I get is the frame freezing for several seconds and then when the video starts again, it fast forwards to the time where it should be [I think].

The freezing happens randomly and does not seem to increase during action sequences.

4 GB ram

Q6600 @ 3.0 watercooled

Asus Nvidia 8600 GTS Silent

Asus AVHD1.3

Are you using the Asus version of TMT? Try and narrow down the problem, bypass the HDAV1.3 and see what happens.

Yes and Thanks! Tried that just now, BUT same problem. I am trying to narrow it down by isolating the hard drive now. I see so many others without my specific problem, I believe it has to do with my hardware.

UPDATE: Yes, moved the file to another drive and no more freezing. Seagate 500 GB... time for an RMA. By next week I'll have my media server built!

I am very happy with the HDAV1.3 so far. Sound and Video streamed from the hard drive is the WAY to watch movies. I hated the wait time using the blu-ray standalone and using a remote. Mouse is the way to go!
