Random Speaker Static?

952 Views 1 Reply 2 Participants Last post by  Sirquack
In the last few days, I have started getting random static from my stereo speakers. The static overpowers any input playing and makes the audio barely discernable for about 30 seconds. It then goes right back to normal. I can't figure out what could be causing random interference using any imput like that.

I have a 2.1 system hooked up to a HK 340. I first thought it might be caused by some kind of interference coming from a long cable on my computer, but that is not the case as it happens on all inputs even with that cable disconnected.

Could be something in your electrical line interfering. Run an extension chord to another circuit in your house and see if it goes away.
