Random Static from Speakers

In the last few days, I have started getting random static from my stereo speakers. The static overpowers any input playing and makes the audio barely discernable for about 30 seconds. It then goes right back to normal. I can't figure out what could be causing random interference using any imput like that.


I have a 2.1 system hooked up to a HK 340. I first thought it might be caused by some kind of interference coming from a long cable on my computer, but that is not the case.
