I'm in the process of setting up a very modest HT. Right now, I'mjust running a small set of 6.1 speakers from my PC. I noticed that the subwoofer makes the ceiling vents vibrate. Anyone else had this problem? I'm thinking of trying some sort of rbber to dampen them, but not sure what.
It depends on what is rattling. If it's just the grate against the tin/ceiling, then you may get by with just some foam door seal type tape. If it's the grate itself, then going to a non-articulated one would be the way to go.
OK. So if it's the louvres, Try just a plain slotted one with no damper type adjustment. I'd still put some foam around the perimeter where it slides into the duct itself.
