RCA cable pin broke off in subwoofer Help!!!

you might be able to push it out from inside, take the amp out. if not, try a small small screw and screw it into the pin to pull it out. if that doesn't work...i dunno. maybe superglue on the end of something small enough to get into the rca female and then pull it out?
I'm trying to take the back off but their are "a lot" of screws. A few require a special wrench which I don't have but going to go over my brothers later he's got all the tools there. I even tried a wine cork screw but couldn't get a grip. Coming in from the rear might be my only hope.

Take a tooth pick (or something similar), put super glue on the end, carefully put the glue end into the center of the pin. Let the glue set, then pull it out.
BTW, if you are connecting to the left or right line level inputs, just get a new cable and connect to the other side.

I could think of a few ways, some of which have been already listed. It’s only small thing piece of metal to retract.
Solder a small piece of wire onto the end and solder another piece of wire to the outer side of the RCA connector, now you van still enjoy sub bass.

No seriously solder a wire to the inner pin with a piece of wire then tug gentle on it until it comes out. Now if this doesn’t work remove the RCA connector and replace with new RCA connector easy.
Use a, strew indeed.

How about using a vacuum cleaner, sub now goes from blow to suck mode.

Is that little piece hollow? If so, I bet you could use a very small pointed screw. If it's got small threads on the tip, and you push it in, it might grip enough to pull the broken piece out.
If it's just laying freely inside, I assume you tried turning the thing up on it's end at just let it fall out with a few shakes? Certainly can't be that easy though.

I'm not sure about carefully, but this worked. I basically mutilated the inside of the female RCA connector with a drill. I got a lot of dust and shreds of black matter and kept drilling until I could get the male to have a tight enough of a connection. I still think part of the pin is in there. But I was afraid of doing damage so I stopped.

I believe he meant to use the straw as a sleeve. I don't know if a straw is the correct OD to slip right into an RCA socket, but if it is, the straw would slide in around the pin, then pull out the straw and the pin would come with it. If it works it is an ingenious suggestion. Now, if Steve suggested the OP drink a Moosehead, then he would risk choking to death on New Years Day.

The average strew in the home is probably to narrow so a quick trip to Burger King will solve that problem. Also you’ll need a strawberry milkshake to wash down the small RCA phone pin afterwards.

i feel like a high powerd vacume hose might be able to pull it out cant hurt two try
Same happened to me on my macbook pro about a month in from ownership not covered under warranty of course. 950.00 for a new motherboard to have it fixed.
I know this post is old but I'm' pretty sure there are lots of people still in the same boat and i hope you come across this on your travels.
-I tried taking my mac apart to no avail so don't even try.
-the crazy glue thing i didn't even try.
-i had been using the griffin imic for about a year hooked up to my home
stereo, which works great in overriding the 3.5 jack but the problem there
is that they are super expensive and both of them just stopped working after a few months. JUNK.
-today i picked up a veho speaker with tongle which works and is portable. don't expect
great sound but its decent, but they are also expensive and cheaply made. But i have
sound again!! the veho tongle hooks directly into the usb port. No hassle work by bluetooth. time will tell
how this little thing stands the test of time but we will see.
i hope this helps some other poor souls out there in cyberspace?!

Rca plug? pretty good sized diameter so.
Take a pin.
put a tiny glob of epoxy on the end
Use a magnifying glass to aid your sight.
The glob should be real small, if too big it will glue to the plug socket.
Maybe use the sharp end of pin
put end onto end of broken pin.
Let set for several hours. Tiny amount of epoxy will take a little longer to set.
then pull it out.
Take a pin.

I had something similar happen to me with HDMI. Since I had a bunch of unused HDMI ports, I just left it in and used another one.
I've had many connectors of different types break on me. All from monoprice. I know their cables work fine, but their connectors are generally really poor quality. That's how they can sell for a lot less than brand names. I have some old monster cables that are good as new. They cost 10x as much, but they are better.
