I'm something of a complete, though not 100%, newbie to HT but I'm learning. Anyway I posted a thread in the HT general group a few days ago asking for any resources people might have:

In that post I also mentioned that I was interested in the RCA D52W20 52",

there seems to be hardly any info to be found about this TV in the form of reviews however seeing it in store surprised me that you could get a TV of this size and picture quality for this price, it definitely was not as good as the Sony 50" next to it but also no where near as expensive. This TV is within the price range I'm looking for, does anyone know anything about it, positive or negative? If not here is what I'm looking for in a TV could you recommend a TV that fits these criteria?

-about $3000 CDN that's about $2000 US.

-45-52" the larger the better

-HDTV capable, 480p,720p,1080i, that does NOT mean with an HDTV tuner, just able to display at these resolutions.

-It would be a plus if it had a built in line doubler for showing regular NTSC cable in 480p but this is NOT a must.

-Best quality for the price, however no need to go for the very best. So if you can sacrifice a little size to get a significantly better TV then that's good, but I would rather get a larger but still good TV than a significantly smaller but outstanding TV.

Thanks!:)
