Has anyone attempted to connect a 1080i source to the component inputs of the RCA F38310?

It is my understanding that some component inputs are limited to 480p, and I would like to attach my Dish 6000 receiver to the set in addition to it's built-in DTC100. I need as much HDTV as I can get.

Thanks in advance,

I get hd through Time Warner cable. The box is cnnected to my set via component and the picture is beautiful. So the answer is yes, it supports 1080i. It also telly you that in the manual. Enjoy.

I own a great working F38310JV4 I only use it for DVD, Vhs, and webtv. I don't care for cable or Sattelite, because 17.5 minutes of every hour is commercals!

Even this wide webtv picture is rather nice to look at, when I finally get over my 'fear' of being able to use a computer, I hope to see it on this very same HDTV.

I have a extended 5 year warranty on it, my dealer who I bought it from is only 7 miles from my home.
