Hi all

I noticed that Costco had the RCA LCOS L50000 on it's online store for $3499 and I wondered what the buzz on this set is. I did a search on the entire forum and didn't get a single hit. Does anyone have one yet and how does it compare to the Toshiba? Any help?

I bought one in Feb in time for the superbowl. I'm very happy with mine. Some say there is a quality problem. If that's so, costco will refund your money.


The set is no longer supported, which is unfortunate, and I guess a little risky, but what a set! It has only one component input set, but two ATSC/NTSC tuners and one DirecTV tuner. The LCOS technology has none of the DLP specific problems, and is brighter that RP LCD displays. I have not seen any of the problems of the Sony GW, Sammy DLP or Tosh Lcos. I get OTA and cable HD.


My decision was a great price for a good technology gets me super HDTV NOW! If it dies an untimely death, I have a good benchmark for my next set, and maybe technology will advance during the time it is working so my next set will be even better.
