I am finally making the jump to an HTPC and front pj after carefully considering plasma, RPTV, and tube based displays. I wanted to post my ideas of what I will be building with hopes of receiving additional input on areas I can improve upon or any pitfalls others have encountered. Here is my intended setup.
2.53Ghz CPU
512MB RAM
Radeon 9000 128MB RAM (possibly new 9500 card?)
MyHD Tuner Card
WD 7200 RPM 120GB HD
M-Audio Delta 410
DVD & CDRW Combo Unit
NEC LT240 Projector
I don't know if I have forgotten anything else on this but my goal is to begin with a solid setup to be able to build from here. All of my audio is taken care of and this is all going in a dedicated HT room. Any and all feedback is appreciated.
