Hi I have JVC D702B Receiver with Definitive Speakers. The front speakers and the Sub woofer works fine but there is no sound from the center and the rear speakers. When I try testing the speakers, all the speakers work fine.So the connection is fine. But there is no sound from the rear and center speakers while playing TV or DVD Player.


Would appreciate your help.

How do you have your devices hooked up? Are you insuring you are sending Dolby Digital to the JVC from your sources?

I have connected the Cable box using component cable to the receiver using DVR/DVD input. I have selected dobly digital option on the JVC receiver.

Have you or someone else messed around in setup? Speakers can be shut off in the OSD (on screen display) setup. I'm assuming you have this but I know next to nothing about that model.

That's your problem. You need to use a digital audio cable, not RW audio cables. See the manuals on your gear.


RW will only give you stereo. Which can be processed into surround sound, but that's not ideal.
