Rear LCD projection TV

Can anyone tell me what are the difference between a conventional TV (CRT) and a rear LCD projection TV. My family is planning to get a brand new wide-screen (16:9) TV (not a big one around 38"). Should I get a CRT or a rear LCD projection TV??


Is a LCD projection TV as sharp as a LCD/Plasma TV?

CRT uses phosphor based guns similiar to what a direct view tube TV would use, LCD projection projects light through a small LCD panel. Both project against the back of their screens so you can view the image.
