**2-HOUR SERIES PREMIERE**—“THE REBEL BILLIONAIRE: BRANSON’S QUEST FOR THE BESTâ€â€”(8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) CC-HDTV 720p-Dolby Digital 5.1

WHO WILL BE KNIGHTED BRANSON’S BEST?

SPECIAL TWO-HOUR SERIES PREMIERE OF

“THE REBEL BILLIONAIRE: BRANSON’S QUEST FOR THE BESTâ€

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 9, ON FOX

Sir Richard Branson, the colorful founder and Chairman of the Virgin Group of Companies, leads a group of 16 entrepreneurs on an epic journey around the world in this new elimination-style competition and unscripted drama series from Bunim-Murray Productions (“The Simple Life,†“Real Worldâ€). A self-made billionaire known for risk-taking, both personally and professionally, Branson whisks these participants to international destinations to relive some of his personal experiences, tackling the types of dilemmas and life-or-death challenges that help shape future billionaires. If they succeed, they will continue onward. If not, each week, they could find themselves left behind on the tarmac as the rest of the group jets off to the next adventure. In the two-hour opener, Branson meets the original group of 16 at his country home in Oxford, England, where he gives new meaning to the term “mile-high club†as the group (including Sir Richard) must traverse between two hot-air balloons traveling 3,000 feet above the countryside. In the next challenge, the remaining participants travel to Hong Kong to introduce a new in-flight service on Virgin Atlantic’s Upper Class and then learn the sky’s the limit when they “wing-walk†on biplanes, passing batons back and forth as the planes are in flight high above the countryside. THE REBEL BILLIONAIRE: BRANSON’S QUEST FOR THE BEST premieres Tuesday, Nov. 9 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (BIL-101/102) (TV-PG L/TV-PG L)

FOX is now noting their HD programming on their website, and according to the info there, "The Rebel Billionaire" *will* be HD.

To see for yourself, or to check other programming, go to www.fox.com, click on SCHEDULE -- you'll get a grid of this week's programming, or you can select "Next Week" -- click on a show -- you'll get a description of the show, and at the bottom it'll give the HD info.

For "The Rebel Billionaire," the last thing in the description is: CC-HDTV 720p-Dolby Digital 5.1

You're right. I've been checking their website at least once a week since September waiting to see SOME designation for the HD programs. I imagine they'll eventually put an HD logo of some kind right on the schedule page, as they already have "SAP" or "audio description" designations there.

But at least for now you can click on show and find out. This should put an end to some of the "that was HD/no it wasn't" arguments around here -- assuming the info is accurate. Everything that's there right now is correct, so I am hopeful (though we'll have to wait until later tonight to verify "The Rebel Billionaire").

But it looks like they're not splicing properly. The FOX logo is within the 4:3 protected area.
HD on WXMI in Grand Rapids, MI. Or a really good upconvert.
