Is it possible to use an alternative address (your old one) from another city and receive "local" networks in your new city which is 300 miles away? I miss the sports!

The spot beams are bigger then the are area they are intended to cover. 300 miles those seem like a stretch.

I wouldn't try it unless I knew someone in the your area had it working. Good luck.

I asked a similar question recently on my local thread. I live in College Station, TX, about 200 miles south of Dallas/Ft. Worth. I subscribe to D* and use my parents address in Haslet, TX, a small town about 30 miles northwest of Ft. Worth. I "moved" to this address with one goal in mind -- to receive DFW LIL's. I am especially hoping to be able to receive DFW HD LIL's when they become available later this year. Right now I receive DFW SD LIL's without any problem. One of the fellas on my local thread led me to this website. It really depends on your location, but hopefully this information will help.
