Im looking for a receiver that can run my 7.1 sound system and is compatible with my P5Q-EM motherboard. The catch is it also has to support a zone out that I can connect to my Russound so I can play whats playing from the HTPC through the whole home audio as well as through my 7.1 setup at the same time.


Does anyone have any recommendations?


Right now I have a Yamaha RX-V2700 and it is not compatible with the P5Q-EM and I don't think it supports outputting HDMI sound over its zones anyways. I accomplished this before using Multi-Channel wiring.


Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have that board with a Pio Elite Vsx-91. I don't use multi-zone, but it does have the functionality

Hmmm, thanks for the recommendation. I have an elite blu-ray player which I have been fairly happy with.

The local Flanners sells it too so thats always an upside since it'd be easy to return if it doesn't all work out. Ill wait for a couple more suggestions before making the final purchase.


FYI my price range is $1000-$3000 but the lower side is always the better side.
