Looking for a receiver recommendation. I've read a lot of the owner forums and it seems like Marantz is known more for music, whereas Pioneer more on the Movie side of the spectrum. I have also been researching Onkyo but have been reading a lot about heat issues. Needless to say, I am getting closer to a selection and I appreciate all of the posts. My family is all about TV and Movies, rather than music. The cabinet this is going in is rather limited ventilation, so I am unsure about the heat output. In addition, it appears that most receivers are continuous around 6 ohms, but I am running 4 ohms the whole way around:
Front/Left/Right:
Three Triad Bronze/4 LCR ( http://www.triadspeakers.com/products/iwb4lcr.html ), Max Power: 150 Watts, Imp. 4 ohms, Sensitivity: 90 db, Frequency response 80 Hz - 20 kHz (+/- 3 dB)
Surrounds:
Two Triad Bronze/4 Surround ( http://www.triadspeakers.com/products/iwb4sur.html ), Max Power: 100 Watts, Imp. 4 ohms, Sensitivity: 83 db, Frequency response 80 Hz - 16 kHz (+/- 3 dB)
Subwoofers:
Two Artison RCC300 subwoofers ( http://www.artisonusa.com/artison_010.htm ) into 300 Watt DSP amplifier, Freq: 20-200kHz, Crossover: 40 Hz - 160 Hz
I am going to be using an HDMI switch coming into the receiver because of my outdoor theater which could be showing the same show simultaneous (Wiring diagram attached).
Anyway, since these are older units, I was hoping some of you all would have some fairly good insights in regards to these recommendations. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks!
