Receiver Recommendation

I plan on replacing my sony str-de695 with a new denon or hk receiver. I'm looking specifically at the denon 1705 and hk 330. the 1705 sells for about $300 shipped while the hk330 is close to $380. i primarily interested in music so which one would be better? also, why is does the hk only have about 55wpc? seems a little low for a receiver in that price range.

btw, this receiver will be powering 4 jbl n24, 1 ncenter, and 2 n28.

I am too lazy to look up the stats on your speakers. But if they are 4 ohm, I would definately say the HK. They produce a warmer sound to which some people swear by(my dpr 1005 is in the mail, so I might soon too!), but the main advantage there is that HK handle 4 ohms very well, and Denon's usually suck at it.

So if you have low sensitivity, low impedence speakers, get the HK.
