hello all, i just got my utv rca dwd490re, all hooked up very nice i'm impressed for $100.00 anyways when i turned it on this morning it sayed RECEIVER UNABLE TO UPGRADE , what does that mean?does my phone line need to be connected to upgrade?any help will be appreciated!

Did it work at all? Did you leave it on overnight? Was there anything set to record? What version are you running now, 3.0 or 3.2?

its 3.0 i got it yesterday and hooked it up and activated it and everything is

works fine ........i got up and turned it on and it said "receiver unble to upgrade"..................i guess i'll see what happens tonite if it takes the update or not!...........does the phone line need to be connected to get the udate?

No, you don't need the phone line. Just the satellite line. Make sure it's not set to record anything during the download time which starts at 3:00 am EDT.

Gald it worked xbox. 3.5 really makes the UTV a very capable PVR.
