I recently splurged into the home theater arena. I purchased an Optoma H30, made a 110" screen, bought new furniture, a Popcorn Popper on Powerbuy, and a Mini Fridge. I need help in determining if I should continue to help the economy and spend more or not. I currently have a Sony STR-DE-635 Receiver with Sony SS-V3033 speakers, Sony SS-CN290 Center Speaker and a Aiwa TS-9 Powered Subwoofer. I was thinking about upgrading the center speaker to a JBL EC25. But the more I looked, the more I wanted upgrading my other speakers as well. Then I thought, let's upgrade the whole system. Then my wife walked in the room and those thoughts quickly left my mind. My thought was to upgrade the center speaker immediately. What should be my next upgrade. I am pretty happy with the receiver, although the surround speakers are a little weak. Would a total upgrade of speakers make a big impact considering my receiver? (thinking about the JBL E series). Man-this stuff is addicting.
While surfing tonight, I came across some Advent AS2 speakers. Read some promising reviews and thought about getting 4 and the JBL Center speaker and keeping my receiver. BTW, my room dimensions are 15 x 25 and will be used for 90% home theater and 10% music.
