I am starting the process of investigating receivers for my HT. The main reason I am looking to upgrade is to get HDMI support. One of my requirements for the new reciever is to have the receiver output HDMI and component at the same time. I want to be able to do this so I can put the video feed to projector and other TVs in the area. Unfortantly looking at the documention for a lot of the newer recievers I am not finding information about this type of feature.

I am looking to spend between 500-800 for the receiver. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not aware of a receiver in that price range that will do what you want. There are receivers that do have 2 HDMI's out, but most can't be used at the same time if any can.

There are plenty of receivers that will output HDMI to zone 1 and Component to zone 2 at the same time. One thing to keep in mind is that I am not aware of any that will convert HDMI sources to component, so any source you wanted to output on zone two would have to be hooked to the receiver with component instead of HDMI.

Why not just connect your HDMI source to the receiver and use the component output from the same source to the component display?

I don't know what your source is - you didn't list it - but my DVD player and HD sat receiver both can do this at the same time.

HDCP prevents HDMI from being converted to an analog signal.

Seems like a simple enough solution, eh?
