Receiving radio broadcasts

When i turn on my Boston PV1000 subwoofer, I hear a hum (audible at all but the lowest volume levels) and at higher volume levels, a particular local radio station broadcast (always the same station). This is true even when the amplifier/receiver is NOT turned on.

When the subwoofer was plugged into a Monster "Subwoofer Power Center SW 200" line conditioner, there was no change.

Suggestions? Thanks!!!
