My house is not projector friendly. So I'm wanting to get a plasma, but I think they stick out too much when mounted to the wall. I've been thinking about creating a recessed area in the wall the exact dimensions of the TV, so the screen would be flush with the surface of the wall.
I'm worried about heat. This is a non-insulated wall, so the heat has the ability to rise between the studs. I've even considered drilling holes in the adjacent studs to allow the heat to spread out more horizontally.
Is this a dumb idea? Would an LCD be better for this idea? Or should I just invest in some better window coverings (this may be difficult, they have to satisfy the wife).
