That is the message you get if you are using the fullscreen renderless option in TheaterTek and have chosen Direct3D in Reclock.
You need to configure Reclock to use DirectDraw.

Has anyone seen a guide to configuring reclock?
Search yielded tons of people saying they use reclock but no mention of setup tips. If you've seen a guide please share.
BTW, I have installed reclock and chosen it in TheaterTek. "Error: Your video card is not compatible with reclock (insufficient or bad driver support)..."
I'm running the latest and greatest- 8800GTS with 169.21 drivers. Any tips appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. I gave it a shot and turned off fullscreen renderless VMR9 and it worked. So then I changed my TT settings back and set reclock to DirectDraw which also worked. Only problem is it appears there is now some trouble with deinterlacing. Should using DirectDraw disable or override my hardware (Purevideo) deinterlacing?

It shouldn't. Double check that when you re-configured TT you didn't change something else.
