What vendors have good recommendations on selling and assembling bare bone systems. I know what I want, but do not know who to purchase it from.


This will be a video editing station, not a traditional HTPC.

Alienware do good work... but they charge you for it.

GamePC also has a good rep. Also expensive.


Central Computer does a good job, and they are relatively cheap.

Why not build it yourself. You can probably build a system similar to one of Alienware's DV systems for half the price. Unless you plan on doing game development you can forget the Quadro and get a Radeon 9700 Pro, Geforce 4ti4600, or Matrox Parhelia and save about $500

I may build myself if I can not find exactly what I want.


The case I want is the Antec Performance Plus 1060. So the assembler needs to stock that case.
