I am looking for a new AVR for my system. I currently am running a Yamaha HTR - 6060 nothing special from my old system and I am looking at the Marantz SR 7007 or Integra 50.4. I am new to this Home theater and do not not a whole lot about it. I will be using this system about 50% movies and 50 % music. My room size is 14 wide by 27' and seating and viewing area is 15.5 ft. back from front wall. I currently am using Matin logan electromotion ESL , c-2 center , fx surrounds, 1 SVS SB -13 ultra , Epson UB 5020 projector. Which AVR will sound the best for my speakers and if I am missing a model I should look at please let me know. I think I have narrowed it down to these , but any help would be great. My budget is $2000. Thanks

A Marantz 7701 is almost identical to the 7005. I think the only differences are 4K and Airplay. Accessories4less.com has refurb 7005's for $900.

For $2000, you could go seperates if you want. The amp will last for a very long time, letting you just upgrade the processor when the need arises. A Marantz AV7005 processor and an Emotiva XPA-5 amp would be a very nice combo. That would run about $1800.

If you want a receiver, a4l has the Denon AVR-4520CI for $1600. I would go for that over a Marantz receiver since it has the upgraded room correction eq.

I'd rank them like this, with gaps on how much better (in my opinion) would be.

Marantz AV7005, Emotiva XPA-5

Denon AVR-4520CI (Basically a tie depending on if you want a receiver or pre/pro and amp)

Marantz SR7005

Marantz SR7701
