There are a few low cost cards available from nVidia and ATI. The nVidia 610, 620, 630. The ATI 5450, 6450, 6570. Which is the best value for money for a HTPC? Criteria would be good HDMI sound output, good picture/colour quality via HDMI, onboard acceleration of HTPC needs, eg Bluray/h264/etc.

Don t take this the wrong way, but this gets asked at least once a week. You can search for the info.

That said, if you want 3D, then a 6450. If you dont care about 3D, then a 5450. If you are going to watch a lot of standard def stuff, like TV, or even HD TV from some channels (1080i), or standard DVD, then I would go up the line a little bit, 5670 or 6670. They do a better job at de-interlacing. Since Blu-Ray is Progressive scan, no de-interlacing needed.
