I currently have an onkyo 605 hooked up to Klipsch RC35, RB81 and Polk RM6750 surrounds (will upgrade to klipsch RS10) and Polk 6750 sub (100w). Also going to upgrade the sub to ED A2-300 or higher. Dish box and PS3 complete the setup.

Now the dilemma. Our room size is 28' x 32' with 13' ceilings. I realize only the best of the best for an AVR, speakers, etc would be ideal, but I am on a budget and was wondering if it would be worth it to upgrade the AVR or perhaps get a dedicated amp. At 90W/channel the 605 isn't cutting it when I crank it for movies and given that it is probably considered "dated" technologically, would I gain any better sound if I upgraded to a new AVR?

I don't care about video processing, as I hook my dish box and PS3 direct to plasma. Just primarily interested in better sound. I would say my budget would be $800 or so.

Either of these would work.
