recommendation for speakers for Bedroom

I just bought a 27" HD tv for our bedroom. The TV is in an armoire cabinet. Off to the side but facing the tv is my treadmill. I spend a fair amount of time viewing with the volume up fairly high to drown out the sound of the treadmill. The room is fairly large 19x17 with 15" ceilings and an alcove that is 7x12. I want to add fl-c-fr speakers and a small sub and possibly two effects. They need to be very small and unobtrusive. I have been thinking of the Gallo's. It appears that I could mount them to the sides of the armoire and put the center on top. I haven't had the opportunity to listen to them. In-wall speakers won't work because they would be back of the armoire. Any other suggestings?
