Hi there !

I am new to the forum and need a reliable recommendation for a HTPC

I have read reviews on them, but still can't seem to get a good idea of which will work best for us.

Basically, all we want to do is watch Hulu and network web sites tv series (FOX, ABC etc...) right now we are watching them on a 13 inch mac laptop and would like to have a dedicated system to watch everything on the big LCD TV.

We have a wireless gateway modem that works great for the laptop watching setup.

Could I get some recommendations on a current out of the box PC (low profile or slim to fit in with the entertainment system) that would work well for what I would like to do ?

The TV does have HDMI inputs and I really don't care how great it looks as far as HD goes, I just want to be able to watch something from the computer on the TV.

Thanks !

If that is all that you want to view, the best thing to do is to buy an entry-level laptop. They usually hover around $300 and come with Win 7.

All you'll have to do is hook it up to your TV via HDMI and you are set.

Low-profile, inexpensive, off-the-shelf and in your living room.

Few months ago, Walmart had a laptop with HDMI out for $300.

And on BF, BB had a dual-core laptop for $189.

Its not possible to build a system with a slim case with an OS for less than that.

Then if you want, get a wireless KB & M and a MC Remote to operate 7MC from the couch.
