With my six-month-old son nearly mobile, I need to enclose my A/V components, pronto.
My dilemma is that my HK AVR-8000 receiver is nearly 21 inches deep, with connections and none of the reasonably-priced (sub-$1,200) component cabinets that I've found are deep enough to enclose it.
My house is older construction, so a built-in rack is out of the question and an in-room rack isn't preferred due to decor and noise/ventilation concerns.
Right now, my AVR-8000, Alesis MA-300, CD and DVD players, Mac Mini HTPC, and game consoles are sitting on a Sanus NFV-249, which barely accommodates the AVR-8000 when it's placed between the two uprights at the rear.
Thanks!
