Recommendations on connecting my new components

290 Views 1 Reply 2 Participants Last post by  bear paws
Good Evening -

I would like to ask for some help with some recommendations on how to connect my all new components for best performance. This in turn will help me with what cables I need to go purchase. Right now they are still in the boxes waiting for me to get the cables and hook them up :)

Components:

- Panasonic TX-42PX50U Plasma w/ HDMI & Cable Card Slot

- Panasonic DVD S97S Player w/ HDMI

- Panaconic SA-XR55S Receiver

- Athena Surround Speakers w/ Sub

Note - I plan to use the cable card slot in the Plasma for this setup v.s. the set top box.

Any help anyone can provide would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I would sit down and spend some [LOT] of time with the manuals that came with the components.

AS that they are same brand they will give you the optimum methods cause they designed it.

Most often these components come with interconnects in the box ,and they are fine, except maybe HDMI/DVI cables. Most HDMI cables are good but if your in a rush you may have to get them at the place you bought the equip. Just don't let them talk you into high end stuff. Its not nec. THere is plenty of time to spend $$$ later.

Enjoy.
