Looking through threads here hasn't helped with what we're seeking. We already have a nice 65" home theater set up and simply would like a small-midsize flat screen to hang on the wall in the master bedroom. Under 30" down to say 21" would work. Our thinking is that with the Feb '09 digital conversion coming that there should be bargains available among units in out size range that REQUIRE a CECB to work after Feb '09. That is to say a NTSC tuner only. But trying to find suitable models among everything currently available is harder than it should be. Seems a lot of retailers are going the "small print" route or otherwise suppressing or making the information hard to find.


Anyone have any model recommendations that fit our wants?

Maybe my question is a bit on the dumb side, but I'd still appreciate some input please.

You're going to have a lot of trouble finding any sets that don't have ATSC tuners anymore.

Thanks Josh. Obviously I've been out of touch. Our 65" Mits was purchased almost 5 years ago and the 27" Sharp is about 15 years old. Haven't shopped for anything since. Had no clue about what you quoted above. Guess I'm about a year late in thinking there might be some bargain LCDs out there with no ATSC tuners. No wonder I was having trouble with specs. Ah well. Twas an interesting thought though. Again thanks for putting me straight.
