Recommendations

I am in the market for my first camcorder. Currently, I am deciding between the Sony HCR-HC7 and the Sony HDR-UX7 (unless someone recommends something else)


I am concerned with my playback options of the miniDV vs mini DVD. I am looking for a simple point and shoot camera that is easy to use. I probably won't be using any of the manual controls and I prob won't be doing any editing. But I will want to play them on my PC and my HDTV.


A lot of my use will be indoors for kid's b-day parties etc...
