I have a 2 year old Diamond MX400 sound card in my HTPC, that has worked flawlessly....until now. I purchases a DVD audio the other day (Police) that was produced by DTS and it will not play on my system. What is wierd is that another one (2 Against Nature) which is produced by another company, works fine and plays back in DTS or DD5.1. So I am guessing that the MX400 is not supporting some format that DTS uses on their audio DVD's?

If this is the case, I would like to see what some of you would recommend as my new audio card. It must pass through DTS and DD5.1 via SPDIF via coax or optical to my receiver from the toshiba DVD in the computer. As I get more and more into the music it must support all the audio DVD formats and be of reasonable quality. I'm not a "true" audiophile but do like good clean music.

My systems a PIII 700, Asus motherboard, 128Mg 133 SDRam, Win DVD, Win98SE, Asus GForce 256.

Any suggestions??

Thanks,

Terry
